Low Carb Triple Berry Cream Cheese Danish
Unfortunately my picture taking abilities could use some work. Otherwise this is one recipe that I'm completely happy with. I found a recipe for low carb cheese danish online the other day and decided to tweak it just a little, resulting in this delicious triple berry cream cheese danish.
To me it tastes a lot like bread pudding until you add the berries and whipped cream, then it tastes more like shortcake. But one of the really nice things about this recipe is that you can make it and eat it in less than five minutes time. This makes it perfect for those mornings when you're short on time.
2 oz.. cream cheese softened
1 tbs. (granulated sweetener)
1/4 tsp. vanilla
sprinkle of cinnamon
1/4 cup berries fresh or frozen, just make sure they are thawed before serving. ( I used blackberries, raspberries and blueberries.)
First add a little melted butter to your bowl, this will help to keep your danish from sticking. Then add your softened cream cheese and egg mixing well. After this add your granulated sweetener cinnamon and vanilla. Mix well and microwave for approx. 60-90 seconds. You don't want to overcook but you do want to make sure that the egg is completely cooked through. Finally serve your danish with whipped cream and berries and enjoy.
